Simply rejecting AIPAC money is not enough. It's time for our representatives to clearly state their positions with firm policy commitments outlined in Track AIPAC's PEACE Pledge.
Tell your representatives to stand for peaceThe tides are turning. The majority of Americans, including Republicans, no longer support unconditional, unlimited weapons and military aid to the apartheid state of Israel. Internationally recognized genocide scholars and dozens of human rights organizations, including Israeli groups, have concluded that Israel is currently committing genocide against the Palestinian people.
Yet too many of our lawmakers continue to reflexively vote in line with the Israel lobby's agenda, driven by AIPAC, sponsoring billions of dollars in weapons and material support for this ongoing violence and crisis, despite the clear violation of U.S. and international law.
The people are with us. It's time for the politicians to catch up.
PEACE stands for Pledge to Enforce American law, Counter foreign influence, and End war crimes. It is a firm policy commitment we are asking every member of Congress to sign.
Pledge to Enforce American law, Counter foreign influence and End war crimes (PEACE)
I pledge that I will not knowingly accept campaign contributions, bundled donations, financial or political support from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Democratic Majority for Israel (DMFI), Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), Christians United for Israel (CUFI), their affiliated PACs, or similar organizations and large donor networks promoting unconditional support for Israel. I will in my best faith reject spending and funds routed by groups like AIPAC and their allies through intermediary organizations or coordinated donor activity.
I acknowledge and endorse the broad consensus of human rights organizations and genocide scholars who have concluded Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, and I pledge to support legislation that formally recognizes this genocide.
In accordance with the Leahy Laws, the Foreign Assistance Act, and other applicable U.S. statutes, I pledge that I will not vote for any future military assistance to any country whose security forces are committing gross violations of human rights, war crimes, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, genocide, or other serious violations of customary international law, including countries that are restricting humanitarian aid.
I pledge to oppose efforts to codify permanent, irrevocable integration of U.S. military and intelligence functions with foreign military or intelligence services in ways that compromise the sovereignty of the United States or human rights, such as Section 224 of the FY27 National Defense Authorization Act in the House and Section 622 of the FY27 Intelligence Authorization Act in the Senate.
I pledge that I will support and promote accountability for those abroad who have misused U.S. weapons in violation of U.S. and international humanitarian law, and for those at home who have facilitated such misuse. I pledge to oppose legislative efforts to sanction officials representing the International Criminal Court over prosecution of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
I pledge that I will oppose all measures to restrict protected First Amendment speech and assembly, including the exercise of longstanding economic tools of expression, including by opposing measures that aim to limit these freedoms through the conflation of criticism of a foreign country with any form of bigotry.
Finally, I commit to making comprehensive campaign finance reform a core legislative priority, including efforts to overturn the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision and to reduce the influence of corporate and special interest money in American elections. A functioning democracy requires that elected officials answer to voters, not donors.
American dollars, American weapons, and American political power must never be used in violation of the law or to enable mass atrocities.
Send a letter to your members of Congress urging them to sign the PEACE Pledge. It takes about a minute on Action Network.
